As some of you may know, I’m part of the St. Louis chapter of Slow Food. Part of the mission of Slow Food is not only to try and purchase clean and fair food, but to also try and support the local artisans in the area that do their part to make specialty products. Being that Tin Mill Brewery in Hermann, Missouri is only about 90 miles outside of St. Louis, I’d say they more than qualify as local.
All of that being said, it looks as if Tin Mill has begun bottling some of their authentic German-style beer and thanks to vyvvy in the Forums pointing it out, it’s now available in the St. Louis area. I’ve been told that the first beer available is the Skyscraper Lager. Unfortunately I don’t know much about the beer, so if someone could give me a few more details, I’d appreciate it.
The beer is now available at the Chesterfield Dierbergs along with the Wine and Cheese Place in Clayton and Rock Hill.
