If you know anything about Jake Hafner, owner of The Civil Life Brewing Company, you know that he never does anything that everyone else is doing. He’s usually the first guy to buck some trends and try something different, and that includes the grand opening of Civil Life.
Tomorrow, September 24th, the Civil Life Brewing Company will open its doors to the general public for the first time. They could simply just open the doors and pour some beer, but for Civil Life, that’s no way to honor the neighborhood they now call home. So at Noon tomorrow, a parade of people will gather at Oak Hill and Arsenal at Tower Grove Park and walk down to Civil Life.
What way to better honor a neighborhood then to walk its streets and greet all of the people who you now call neighbors. Once you arrive at Civil Life, beer will be flowing and pizza will be available from the Pi on the Spot mobile pizza truck until 4PM. If you make it after 4PM, no worries as they’ll have brats available for purchase as well.
As for the beer, Civil Life will have five different beers on draught: Rye Pale, British Best, American Brown, German Wheat, and British Bitter. Festivities tomorrow will run from about 1PM until about 8PM. So you’ll have plenty of opportunity to sample Civil Life’s fine session beers all day long. Head on out and help them celebrate the brewery and the neighborhood that’ll put the “grand” into grand opening.
