Wait. This is only the 14th Schlafly Hop in the City festival? How is that possible? I don’t know why, but it feels like this should be at least the 18th or 19th. This festival has felt so essential to the St. Louis beer DNA that it just feels like it’s been around forever.

I can say, without a doubt, this is one of my favorite festival in St. Louis.  The weather is typically pretty great, the location is great, and it’s fun having over 40 different Schlafly styles to sample.

It’s also still inexpensive.  If you order your tickets in August, you’ll only be paying $25 per ticket.  Wait until September and you’re still paying the very reasonable $30 per ticket. Tickets are available at the Bottleworks, Tap Room and also online.

One of the other things that gets me excited is the festival beer they create for each festival. This year’s beer will be a Pumpkin Stout.  Now, on the surface this sounds like a weird amalgamation of styles, but for those of you that have had other pumpkin stouts, you know they’re delicious. Schlafly makes a killer pumpkin and some great stouts, so I’m curious to see what they come up with.

I guess you need some details? This year’s festival will be taking place on Saturday, September 15th from 12-5PM. It will be held at the Schlafly Tap Room and will be another great time. Tickets will be available at the door if they don’t sell out. But don’t delay, buy your tickets ASAP and enjoy one of the best festivals in St. Louis.

Stay tuned for a contest where we give away two tickets to this year’s Hop in the City.
