ciceros.jpg Cicero’s Italian Restaurant continues their Winter Beer School semester this Wednesday from 5:30-6:30PM and a second class from 7PM-8PM. Cicero’s Beer School provides background about beers and beer styles usually directly from people directly in the beer industry. It’s perfect opportunity to learn more about a style you’re unfamiliar with or to just brush up on a style you haven’t enjoyed in a while.

This week’s school is being hosted by Nate Sellergren of Stone Brewing Co. Nate will be on hand to discuss and sample some Stone Smoked Porter With Vanilla Bean, Arrogant Bastard, Stone IPA, and Levitation. Go out and take advantage of one of the few places where you can drink and learn!

If you can’t make it out to the Beer School, you can check out all of the classes via podcast at Cicerosbeerschool.com.

Let me just tell you, these pictures don’t really do any justice to the Stone Brewing Co. total tap takeover that occurred last Thursday at the International Tap House in Soulard.  It was crazy.

I don’t think I’ve seen a turnout for a craft beer event like this one.  I have no doubt that over 400 people came in and out of the doors last Thursday.  It’s a testament that the craft beer scene in St. Louis is growing larger and larger every day.

While there were a few issues, I think everyone had a great time and it was a lot of fun trying some really great beer.

Wow. Yesterday was pretty insane. I’ve gotten word back from everyone who attend events around the area and huge props to all of the venues for putting on some great events. But the fun didn’t stop yesterday, today and tomorrow provides us with some more great events. Check them out:

As we all know by now, Stone Brewing is coming to Missouri.  Stone never comes to a town without throwing a party; that’s just how they roll.  But, they don’t throw just a single party, they throw three days worth of parties (or “par-tays” if you’re Sinbad) in St. Louis.

Stone gets so excited about their parties, that they even devote an entire spot on their website to it.   At this point, you’re probably shouting at the screen, “Enough with the blabbidly-blab!  Give me the details!”

You’re excited, I get it.  Make sure you  So, here’s a run-down of the week’s events:

Normally I wouldn’t devote an entire post to beers getting registered in the state of Missouri, but, it’s late and this is Stone Brewing we’re talking about.

It’s worth pointing out that while all of the beers listed below have been registered with the state government, that doesn’t mean all of these are going to be available in bottles. More than likely it’s just that some of these beers will only be showing up around town on tap during the week of the Stone kick-off.

Rumor has it that we’ll see some vintages of things such as the Stone Old Guardian Barleywine.  I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

In the meantime, here’s the list of what got registered in the state:
