Frosty BrewfestI’m pleased to announce that the winners for the VIP tickets to the Frosty Brewfest beer festival are David Wright, Troy Meier, Bryan Clauser, Rick DeLucio, Dustin Adamo, and Keith Carey! Congrats guys and thank you everyone for entering. For those of you that didn’t win, there are still tickets available, though they’re going fast.

I once again want to thank the fine folks from Spokes Pub & Grill and for providing the tickets to this event. Should be a fantastic festival.

Frosty BrewfestThis Saturday Spokes Pub & Grill in Farmington, MO will be hosting their first Frosty Brewfest featuring beers from all over Missouri.

Thanks to the fine folks from Spokes, I have 12 VIP tickets to give away for this weekend’s event.

We’ll make this an easy contest, just email contest@stlhops.com with Frosty Brewfest as the subject. I’ll pick six winners on Thursday, January 24th, at 9AM. A couple of quick notes:

  • If you’ve won something from STL Hops in the past 6 months, please be cool and let someone else enter.
  • You must be 21 or older to enter.
  • No multiple entries.

If you don’t win this one, don’t worry I will be holding more contests like this in the future, so you’ll have another chance then. Good luck!

It’s nice to see more places jumping on the winter beer festivals.  Just because it’s cold outside doesn’t mean people aren’t willing to drink some beers. Next Saturday, January 26th, Spokes Pub & Grill will be throwing their first beer festival they’ve dubbed Frosty Brewfest.

There are two levels of tickets available for this event, you have the $20 general admission ticket which gets you in the door from 2-6PM to try 48 different beers while the VIP ticket for $45 will get you in an hour early (1-6PM), a souvenir 16oz tasting glass, and a $20 gift card for lunch or dinner at Spokes.  Here’s a look at the flyer:

Rooms are also available if you’re looking to make a nice weekend, I’ve been told prices on the rooms are$55. If you’re down for some winter beer shenanigans tickets can be purchased here.  Also, we’ll be giving away 12 VIP passes next week, so be on the lookout for that.

crownvalleybrewery.gifThe Ste. Genevieve mainstay Crown Valley Winery is expanding into the brewing and distilling business.  The new Crown Valley Brewery and Distillery will be opening soon and Brewmaster Mark Walters is eager to show off his handy-work.  Mark will be at Spokes Pub and Grill from 1Pm-5PM on Saturday, January 31st.

Mark will be bringing along their first six beers to sample, which are the Sleighbell Spiced Ale, Barnwood Blonde Ale, Old School Pilsner, Big Bison Ale (dubbel), Crown Valley Raspberry Wheat and Worktruck Wheat (hefeweizen).  According to Sauce Magazine, Crown Valley is set to open this spring with a 120-seat taproom and a 150-seat beer garden.
