I’ve often said, it takes a real German to put on an authentic Oktoberfest. OK, I don’t I’ve ever said that, but I say a lot of things when I’ve had a few beers that I rarely remember, so it may still be something I’ve said.

But it’s got to be true, right? I mean, when the Urban Chestnut Brewing Company‘s brewmaster Florian Kuplent is straight out of Munich, the home of the original Oktoberfest, so he and the crew at UCBC have the skills to put on an authentic festival.

Well, this Saturday and Sunday is your chance to find out that UCBC has what it takes to put on an authentic style Oktoberfest here in your own back yard. Here are the details for this weekend’s event:

Beautiful weather and an exuberant crowd made for a wonderful time at the Growlers Pub‘s annual Oktoberfest celebration. That was plenty of great German and German-style beers flowing all day long, and some culinary delights like deep-fried sauerkraut.  For those of you that couldn’t make it out, be sure to check out the photos below.
