image1In case you missed it, Charleville Brewing Co. announced a new location located in downtown St. Louis at 2101 Chouteau Ave.

This new location will serve as a second location for Charleville, allowing everyone the opportunity to enjoy Charleville beers without having to travel to Ste. Genevieve. To preview this new location, Charleville and their new partners the Hamilton Hospitality Group are throwing a little party to show off the space.

This Thursday, October 20th from 5-8pm Charleville will be hosting Boar and Brew. Charleville will be selling four different barrel-aged beers by the bottle:

Flanders Red – aged in oak barrels with cherries
Kick in the Cranberries – aged in white wine barrels with Cranberries
BA Barleywine – aged in bourbon barrels **VERY LIMITED Quantites**
BA Box of Chocolate – aged in bourbon barrels **VERY LIMITED Quantities**

They will also be serving a pig roast dinner with two sides for $11.99 per person. You will also have the opportunity to look over the new space and the blueprints as well.

Congrats to our friends at Charleville for this very exciting announcement!

2ndshiftlogoIsn’t fun to be a VIP? Any time you get that inside scoop or special access, you feel like a rock star.  2nd Shift Brewing is helping you feel like an insider as we’re doing a very special sneak preview of the new location tomorrow, June 9th starting at 6PM.

This isn’t going to be just any sneak preview, it’s going to be a party. Not only will you be able to view the new space, but it’s going to be a bottle release (more on that in a bit), we’re going to have beers on draught, and the Mission Taco Truck will be there to fill your belly.

As far as the bottle release goes, this will be your first opportunity to purchase the newest fruited version of Katy, Apricot Katy. You’ll also have the chance to purchase Annabelle, which I believe (and I don’t say this lightly) Steve Crider’s finest funky beer to date.  The newest version of Unicorn Killer will also be available for purchase as well.

If that wasn’t enough, we’ll have a killer line-up of beers on draught as well:

  • Brewcocky
  • Katy
  • Chaotic Insecure Delusions
  • Unicorn Killer
  • Hibiscus Wit
  • Art of Neurosis
  • Chateau la Douchebag
  • Blackberry Katy

So, we invite you out for this very special event.  We can’t wait to share our new home with you and this is just the first opportunity to do so.

itap.jpgReceiving word late this afternoon that the major roadblocks have been jumped and we’ll now see new International Tap House in the Central West End. As many of you know the CWE isn’t exactly easy to get into if you’re a bar, but after jumping through more than a few hoops I’m happy to announce the new location will be located 16 South Euclid.

It came down to the wire to get approval from property owners, businesses, and the city excise commissioner, but the final approval was given today. Owners Brad Lobdell and Sean Conroy expect that the new location will be open sometime early winter of 2013.

Knowing not to stray from what works, you can still expect to see over 500 beers at this location and approximately 40 taps at the CWE location. Make sure to follow along with the process at their new Twitter handle @itapCWE. Here are a few renderings of what we can expect:
