2ndshiftlogoIsn’t fun to be a VIP? Any time you get that inside scoop or special access, you feel like a rock star.  2nd Shift Brewing is helping you feel like an insider as we’re doing a very special sneak preview of the new location tomorrow, June 9th starting at 6PM.

This isn’t going to be just any sneak preview, it’s going to be a party. Not only will you be able to view the new space, but it’s going to be a bottle release (more on that in a bit), we’re going to have beers on draught, and the Mission Taco Truck will be there to fill your belly.

As far as the bottle release goes, this will be your first opportunity to purchase the newest fruited version of Katy, Apricot Katy. You’ll also have the chance to purchase Annabelle, which I believe (and I don’t say this lightly) Steve Crider’s finest funky beer to date.  The newest version of Unicorn Killer will also be available for purchase as well.

If that wasn’t enough, we’ll have a killer line-up of beers on draught as well:

  • Brewcocky
  • Katy
  • Chaotic Insecure Delusions
  • Unicorn Killer
  • Hibiscus Wit
  • Art of Neurosis
  • Chateau la Douchebag
  • Blackberry Katy

So, we invite you out for this very special event.  We can’t wait to share our new home with you and this is just the first opportunity to do so.

Mango-HOP-anero LabelDid you know that as we get older, our sense of tastes decreases? It’s why some of us pick up the love of spicy foods later in life. We need a little bit of kick to put our taste buds on alert.

I love beer and I also love some hot sauce, so Mission Taco Joint and 4 Hands Brewing Co. did the obvious thing and put them both together.  Starting today (National Hot Sauce Day, as I’m sure you’re fully aware) both Mission Taco location you’ll have your first chance to buy the Mango-HOP-anero hot sauce.

Here’s the description from MTJ:

This year we collaborated with 4Hands Brewery and made a special release pepper sauce called Mango-HOP-anero, using 4Hands Incarnation IPA (formerly Resurrection IPA). The pepper sauce brings subtle sweet notes from the mango, a good amount of heat from the habanero, and tropical scents from the mosaic hops of the beer.

So, stop by Mission Taco and enjoy some tasty tacos (or burritos) and also purchase a bottle of Mango-HOP-anero to-go for $7.

submissionWhat happens when delicious Mexican food and a delicious IPA meet?  Well, we’re going to find out when 2nd Shift Brewing releases their collaboration with Mission Taco Joint called Sub-Mission IPA. This West Coast-style IPA was designed to pair with the awesome Mexican fare at Adam and Jason Tilford’s restaurants.

To celebrate this release, the Tilfords’ original Mexican restaurant, Milagro Modern Mexican, is throwing a tap takeover this Wednesday, April 23rd from 4PM to close. Chef Jason Tilford has created some special dishes to go along with their newest beer.

Not only are you going to enjoy the debut of Sub-Mission, along with Hibiscus Wit, Art of Neurosis, Coffee LSD, and Katy, but you’ll also get a chance to try their other newest beer: Grace. Grace is a 100% barrel fermented saison, fermented with brettanomyces bruxellensis and brettanomyces lambicus.

Find out what happens when two awesome places combine to create something cool tomorrow at Milagro. (Oh and if you can’t make it out tomorrow, you’ll start seeing Sub-Mission available at the Tilfords’ other restaurants and in bottles soon!)
