All of the bands that showed up to the 2008 Microfest should have played Buster Poindexter’s tune “Hot, Hot, Hot” on a loop just to remind you that the sun was no one’s bitch today. It was a lively event, but the hour I showed up I developed a slight sunburn. No fun. Also, what’s the point of getting a 6oz VIP tasting glass if you’re still only going to fill it up 1oz? I’m sure it has something to do with liquor laws, but it just seemed silly. Anyway, here are some of the photos:

According to the website the Friday night Microfest Session has been canceled due to you possibly being blown away or struck by lightning. It looks like advance tickets for Friday night will be honored Saturday.

I’m pleased to announce that the winner for the two tickets to the Saturday afternoon session of the 2008 St. Louis Microfest is Jim Leabig! Congrats to Jim and thank you everyone for entering. If you didn’t win, don’t be too upset, I’m going to have a few more things to give away in the next few months.

This weekend is fast approaching and you haven’t bought your tickets to the 2008 St. Louis Microfest yet, have you? Well fear not, because thanks to Paul Hayden from the Wine and Cheese Place in Clayton, I’m giving away two free passes for the Saturday session. Now, it would be easy for me just to randomly pick an email out of a hat and hand the prizes to that person, but there’s no fun in that!
