Last week I was wearing a sweater and now I’m sweating? I guess we can say that spring is official here.

Urban Chestnut Brewing Company is helping to celebrate spring and has brought back their  Maifest festival. Taking place this Saturday, May 14th at their Midtown location, this will certainly be a party that would make Bacchus blush.

Along with BBQ from UCBC’s Andy Fair and special guests, you will also be able to enjoy some of the fresh bock beer UCBC brewed especially for this celebration of spring.

The best part about this festival?  It’s free.  There are no ticket charges, just come out between 12PM-10PM on Saturday, May 14th and purchase beer and food to sample throughout the day.  There will be commemorative t-shirts and glassware available for purchase as well.

There is also an $18 festival package available that includes a commemorative glass, a food ticket, and three beer tickets and three tickets good for either food or beer. Individual beer and food tickets may be purchased for $6 apiece.

Saturday, May 14th will be a great opportunity to rock out with your bock out at UCBC.

368160-250It’s been 7 long months since we all got our schnitzel on during the Oktoberfest celebrations around the area. But the International Tap House in Chesterfield is wondering why “October gets all of the fun?”

On May 17, iTAP Chesterfield will throw their 6th annual Maifest to celebrate all things (well, maybe not all things) German. There will be plenty of brats, bands, and most importantly: beer.

Plenty of German beer will be available including Hofbrau Original and Maibock, Schwaben Brau Heller Bock, and also the Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier. You’ll also get some locally made German styles from our friends at Urban Chestnut including the Erlkönig and Urbanator.

From 2PM-5PM on Saturday the 17th, you’ll have a chance to sample over 30 different beers from UCBC, New Belgium, Stone, Evil Twin, Schlafly, Morgan Street, Ommegang, Jolly Pumpkin, 4 Hands, 2nd Shift, Civil Life, Boulevard, Sierra Nevada, and more!  Tickets can still be purchased at iTAP Chesterfield or Brown Paper Tickets for $30, the price day of is $35. This year they’re also introducing a beer festival inside of a beer festival (how very Inception-esque) that they’re calling Geschmack.  From 2PM-6PM on Saturday the 18th, you’ll have a chance to sample over 30 different beers from UCBC, New Belgium, Stone, Firestone Walker, Schlafly, Charleville, Odell, Bells, 4 Hands, 2nd Shift, Civil Life, Boulevard, Founders, and more!  Tickets can still be purchased at iTAP Chesterfield at a special discounted rate of $25 until tomorrow.  Then the price goes up to $30.
