GooseIslandBourbonCountyLogoWhile I always hate when people ask me what my favorite beer is, I almost always respond with Goose Island Bourbon County Stout. It’s clearly not something I would drink every day (mostly because it would kill my waistline) but it’s something I could drink every day without tiring of it.

The enduring success of BCS tells me that I’m not the only person that feels this way.  As Goose Island has continued to grow, lucky for us BCS fans the amount of BCS has grown as well. To celebrate the yearly release of this black behemoth Goose Island is throwing a party.

On Friday, November 27th, Goose Island and Fields Foods are teaming up to create a Bourbon County Stout Black Friday Launch Party.  While some folks prefer to wait in the cold for those door buster deals, Goose Island is going to reward your patience and your support for BCS by giving the first 100 people a gift.

For those willing to brave the elements, Goose Island will be providing a custom poster along with a special snifter and a small amount of the Intelligentsia coffee used in this year’s Coffee BCS. Coffee and donuts will be available as well.

Black Friday 2015 Launch 1.0

As far as the beer is concerned, I’m being told that your offerings will include:

  • Bourbon County Stout
  • Bourbon County Barleywine
  • Bourbon County Coffee
  • Bourbon County Rare

It’s worth noting that all of these beers will obviously be very limited and there are no guarantees that the first 100 people will receive all of these beers.  But as this is the launch party, this will be your BEST opportunity to get any of these very special beers. Doors open for sales beginning at 7AM.

And for those of you where great beer knows no time, there will be a Goose Island Tap Takeover at the Fields Foods bar including 2014 and 2015 Bourbon County Stout. If you’ve got a beer lover in your life, this is the line to wait in on Black Friday.
