saints of shmaltzThere is no such thing as too much of a good thing, but how about too much of two good things? Well the only way to find out is by visiting Llywelyn’s Pub in St. Charles this Friday, November 20th.

Beginning at 8PM, you’ll have your opportunity to only enjoy a creation from local favorite Cathedral Square Brewing and the always enjoyable Shmaltz Brewing in an event they’re calling Saint of Shmaltz. Owner Jeremy Cowan of Shmaltz and Brewmaster Brian Neville of Cathedral Square have collaborated a few times over the years and this event celebrates that fantastic partnership.

You’ll have a chance to not only try the St. Lenny’s Belgian Rye DIPA collaboration along with some other favorites from Shmaltz including the Chanuakah Beer, Hop Manna IPA, and She’Brew Triple IPA. This will also be your opportunity to taste their newest collaboration the St. Jewbelation Sour Rye.

So head out to Llywelyn’s in St. Charles on Friday to find out if two is too much of a good thing (it’s not.)

cathedralsquareI don’t care how often you’ve met some of them, you have to still get a little charge when you get a chance to meet a brewer from some of your favorite breweries. I, personally, appreciate the time that they give to listen to you and answer your questions.

Their passion for the industry really shines through and gets you even more amped about craft beer. One of those guys that really takes his time to talk is Brian Neville from Cathedral Square Brewing. He’s one of the nicest guys in an industry filled with nice guys. You’ll have your chance to meet him on Thursday, June 12th beginning at 6PM when 21st Street Brewers Bar hosts a Cathedral Square Firkin AND tap takeover.

21st Street will have Abbey, Hail Mail Belgian IPA, Repent Rye, and White Ale on tap and they will also be tapping a special firkin of Abbey that’s been aged on plums. And if that wasn’t all, $8 gets you a glass of the Plum Abbey with a glass you can take home as well.

Do not miss out on this special event as it sounds like a lot of fun.
