STLHops_ShadedWhat a night.

Honestly, I don’t think the STL Hops Sixth Anniversary party could have gone much better. Great venue, great beers, great crowd, great eats, and great music.  It was just a fantastic time all around. And I don’t say that lightly. No one is tougher on themselves than me when it comes to this party.

First off a big thanks to Perennial Artisan Ales for hosting us. Emily and Phil and the rest of the gang at Perennial were patient and completely fantastic about this whole party. I couldn’t have done it without them. So, thank you.

Second, a big thanks to Eric, Carl, Irene, my parents, and all of the volunteers for helping put this party on. I can’t do this alone and having their help is the only way we can pull this all off, so a huge thanks to them.

A big thank you to Jim Leabig. Without a doubt he was the MVP of the party, turning what was a pretty fun beer festival into an actual party.

Thank you to Guerrilla Street Food for providing some scrumptious food. The Wandering Pig and Chicken Adobo are delicious and helped get me (and a lot of other people) through an epic night of drinking.

It wouldn’t be a beer festival without beer, so a big thanks to all of the breweries that donated beer to the party. Also a big shout-out to the STL Hops Homebrew Club for providing some delicious beer for the party. I heard a lot of compliments about the quality of the beer from our club all night.

Here’s a list of the breweries that provided beer, give them some extra love this year:

Now, the thing I know you’re dying to hear. We have a couple of things outstanding, but after it’s all said and done, I’m proud to announce we raised over $8500 for Stray Rescue. Last year we raised $6000 and I was hoping to raise $7000, so this huge jump is just amazing.  We couldn’t have done it without you, so thank you very much.

This party is a lot of work, but it’s for a great cause and it’s always a great time.  Thank you again and we’ll see you for party #7 this November.
