Here we go, the battle of all battles in the STL Hops 2013 St. Louis Beer Challenge. For the first time ever in five years of doing this fun little contest we have the same brewery with two of its beers facing off in the finals.
The contest comes down to last year’s runner-up 2nd Shift Art of Neurosis facing off against newcomer 2nd Shift Katy.
Before we break down this match-up, let’s look at how each of them got to the final round:
Art of Neurosis defeated Exit 6 Ryane’s Red
Katy defeated Cathedral Square Abbey Ale
Art of Neurosis defeated 4 Hands Centennial Red
Katy defeated 4 Hands Cuvee Ange
Art of Neurosis defeated Schlafly AIPA
Katy defeated Perennial Saison de Lis
Art of Neurosis defeated 2nd Shift Brew Cocky
Katy defeated 4 Hands Pyrus
Art of Neurosis defeated Perennial Abraxas
Katy defeated Schlafly Pumpkin
Both of these beers have faced off against some very stiff competition, so it’s very impressive to see them in the finals. I don’t know about you, but it’s also a difficult deicision to pick between these two beers. Both offer something very unique and are easily two of the best beers around right now. I can’t wait to see who wins.
Championship – Mon April 8
