It’s that time again. It’s time for the awesome, delicious, wonderfully fantastic slap of hops to the face known at the Schlafly American IPA. According to the Schlafly Facebook page, we will begin seeing the AIPA on tap at the Tap Room beginning next Monday by 4PM with bottles in the market shortly thereafter.
Some interesting notes about this year’s version of the AIPA include the fact that the ABV has dropped from 8% to the 7.2% that was similar to the one at 2009’s Hop in the City. There is also a change in the hopping from last year. Previously we saw Simcoe and Columbus whereas this year we’ll see Simcoe, Amarillo and Centennial.
If you haven’t had a chance to try this wonderful beer, be ready. It’s a big citrusy, hoppy beer that will just smack your tongue around. Can’t wait to enjoy it all summer.
