On Saturday, it starts at 11:00 AM. It’s just the music that doesn’t start until 5:00. I’m planning on getting down there Saturday afternoon for some mussels.

Do I have to drink Belgian beers? Or can i just get some good beers, instead?

Cubby…we are leaving some of the regular offerings (non-Belgian) on tap this year. I’ll look at the line-up tomorrow and give an update. I can’t remember it exactly, and I don’t want to start spreading vicious beer rumors

Yeah, I have to say, I would REALLY like to see the Cream Ale replace Summer Lager as the spring/summer seasonal.

Stephen, any idea when the Cream Ale will go back on draft? I wanted to get some growlers of the Cream Ale to take to my out of town friends.

Yep, two Mike’s. Mike (the other one), I had talked with Stephen the other day, and he said the Cream Ale would probably be available through Hop in the City, which is why I was asking. I thought they might just be taking it off draft to make room for some of the Belgian beers this weekend.

I was there last night, and the mussels were fabulous. The beer was, too, of course. I enjoyed the spiced Belgian, but the ginger got to be a bit much by the end. (And I do like ginger in beer–I always put it in my Christmas beer.) I really enjoyed the dubbel. The cask grand cru was quite interesting. Since it obviously didn’t have the carbonation level that bottle conditioned belgian beers usually have, the flavors presented themselves differently. I don’t honestly know if I prefer the cask or bottled version of this. I suppose I’ll have to keep trying both
