Just about every Tuesday evening, The Royale hosts an event where they guide you through the wonderful world of beer styles, breweries and beer history. This week they’ll be featuring an event they call: “Quad Madness!” Here’s a quick synopsis of what will be on tap:
“Belgian Quadrupels are uncompromising nectars that tend either to scare faith into skeptics or drop believers to their knees in supplication to the forces of darkness. These are the power hitters: strong and dark, each example is a cornucopia of flavors and textures that wax symphonic on the palette. Three of this week’s selection have been brewed by the mad monks of Belgium and Holland for centuries; the other is a homegrown upstart, but by no means a heretic.
St. Bernardus Abt 12 (10.5% abv) -Belgium
Konigshoeven La Trappe (10% abv) -Dutch Trappist
Rochefort 10 (11.3%) -trappist, Belgian Trappist
