So far the mass produced attempts at real beer have failed miserably in my book. When you’re a publicly traded company whose primary objective is profit, making a beer than can compete with the best micros is unlikely.

Interesting, much darker than I thought it would be.
So is this a pseudo-pale or what?
And how do you always get these test batches?? (so jealous)

I think the Mich Wheat, and the Mich Porter are actually pretty decent beers. Yeah, not top of the heap, but very few are at the top, with the majority being just below that heap.
If I can go to my local bar, and get something other than Bud, I’ll be happy..
I just tasted this “craft” beer and was very pleasantly surprised. It reminded me of several very good tasting memories like Alaskan Amber that I can’t get in Dayton and Fat Tire from New Belgium, which has been a ‘go to’ favorite.
I believe that I prefer Bud’s American Ale but I look forward to a head to head match.

Looking at the comments above it continues to amaze me how “beer snobs” have their mind made up before they even taste a product.
