Whiskey Barrel Smoked Porter Available Today?

7:39 am Beer News

Ok, so yesterday’s post was completely terrible. From messing up twice on the type of bourbon barrels to doubting it would see store shelves this week. Sorry about that, should have checked with people in the know before spouting off. Oh well, onward and upward.

According to Derek Bean, the sales manager for O’Fallon, the bulk of the 31 cases should be hitting store shelves today. So I’d contact your local retailer to see if it’s available to pick up today. If the frenzy for Hopslam was any barometer, this one is sure to go fast as well.

Sorry about that, I just sent you the link and really didn’t look into it more than that.

I expected O’Fallon to bottle and wax yesterday and today, box tonight and tomorrow, and then ship out on Monday.

I guess Brian and Dave really want this to hit the shelves!

You have nothing to apologize for. I should have checked it out a little closer. It got straightened away, no big deal.

    Hey Mike,
Thanks again for your excellent coverage on our 2nd Edition of Whiskey Barrel Smoked Porter.

Just wanted to let everyone know that a 4th bar, Old Mill Stream Inn, on Main Street in Old Town St. Charles should also be getting a case of it today.

For those of you who remember, Old Mill Stream was always one of the best-kept secret beer bars in the entire St. Louis area until it caught fire 2 years ago. They’ve recently re-opened and their beer selection is now better than ever! No draft beer here, but over 110 different bottled beers at one of the area’s most unique settings! The owner, Troy, is a great guy and he’d love to share a shot of Gran Marnier with anyone who stops by!

    Thanks Again,
    Derek Bean

    Hey Guys,
Also wanted to thank everyone who dared the weather yesterday to make it to our retailers to pick up a bottle or two of this unique beer!

In response to Sam’s comment above regarding Lukas, I delivered their beer to them yesterday and I believe they were taking phone reservations for it; so, you may want to call and check into it.

    Yours In Beer,
    Derek Bean

Yeah, after picking mine up yesterday they were taking phone reservations.

I talked to one of the beer guys Shelby, and he said that they were considering not taking phone reservations, but they didn’t do that.

Yeah, I picked up my bottle yesterday. Had to make the long 1/4 mile to get it from the Rock Hill Wine and Cheese Place!
