While there are many neat things about cask beer, I think one of the coolest aspect is the experimentation that using a firkin allows. Brewers can alter the beer to try out new variations and different ingredients to give a new twist on an already fantastic beer.
New Belgium Brewing is doing just that by putting out a cask of Snapshot Wheat that they’ve dry-hopped with Sorachi Ace. On paper this sounds like a fantastic combination, you take the slightly tart Snapshot and dry hop it with the lemony Sorachi Ace and that sounds like a winner.
Want to enjoy this delicious experiment? Head out to Three Kings Public House this Friday, August 15th at 6PM and grab yourself a pint before it runs out.
