Monsters of Beer Festival at The Stable

10:38 am Beer Events

The poster says a lot, but it’s not giving you the whole story. The first of what is hopefully many festivals at The Stable contains truly some Monsters of Beer. I helped pick some of the offerings and it looks like only one beer at this point is under 8%. Your $25 dollar ticket allows you to taste fifteen different 3oz pours and you get a commemorative glass with a photo of the poster above on it. Only 175 tickets are being sold for this event, so you should buy them as soon as you can from The Stable or The Rotten Apple.

And now the moment you’ve all been waiting for, 24 of the 25 beers (I’m being told the last one is a surprise) for tasting at the Monsters of Beer:

  • Bear Republic Racer 5 (Draught)
  • North Coast Old Rasputin (Draught)
  • Left hand Twin Sisters (Draught)
  • Schlafly Pumpkin (Draught)
  • St. Bernadus Abt 12 (Draught)
  • Gouden Carlous Grand Cru -Draught
  • Southern Tier Unearthly (Draught)
  • Southern Tier Hoppe (Draught)
  • The Stable Dopplebock (Draught)
  • Bear Republic Hop Rod Rye
  • Arcadia Cereal Killer
  • Houblon Chouffe
  • Arcadia Hopmouth
  • Trois Pistoles
  • Skullsplitter
  • Peche Mortel
  • Bourbon County Stout
  • Jolly Pumpkin La Roja
  • Southern Tier Oat
  • Delirium Tremens
  • Samichalus 2006
  • Gouden Carlous - Hopsinjoor
  • Hebrew Lenny’s R.I.P.A.
  • Harviestoun’s Ola Dubh 16 yr

    Dang…
Did this have to be the night after the Taproom party? I doubt the wife will be down with two beerfests in one weekend…haha.

That’s awesome that STLHops.com is on the poster! I’m in the same boat as Fweezle though. My wife’s starting to complain about all the beerfests…I don’t understand it. :)

Ok just re-read the post. 9 are actually draught? The rest are 3 oz pours from bottles? I must have had too much cask Hop Harvest with lunch cause it all just ran together. The list is very very nice draught or bottle! I did also just notice, hidden in the middle of the mix, The Stable Dopplebock. Can’t wait!

Yeah, my buddy, Ben brewed the D-Bock! Super tasty. We used to homebrew together, but he has really taken off! Proud supporter!

I like the poster. Makes me think that someone crossed a box of Count Chocula with a box of Franken Berry. If only they could have incorporated Boo Berry too!
