We’ve had a lot of different beer festivals in St. Louis. We’ve had festivals celebrating local craft beer, we’ve had festivals featuring just firkins, but I don’t believe we’ve ever had a festival like Perennial Artisan Ales is putting on. I’m happy to announce that one of the kick-off events for the 2012 St. Louis Craft Beer Week will be the first Belgian Beer Festival in St. Louis.

Titled the Midwest Belgian Beer Fest, this special event will feature 30 different breweries from across the United States. Running from 3:00PM-7:00PM on Saturday, July 28th, the Midwest Beer Fest will be hosting breweries pouring some of their best Belgian-style beers.

What does your $35 ticket get you? Well, not only will it get you a special tasting glass, but also unlimited pours from the following breweries:

  • Perennial
  • 2nd Shift
  • 4 Hands
  • Urban Chestnut Brewing Company
  • Exit 6
  • Crown Valley
  • Cathedral Square
  • Square One
  • Six Row
  • Morgan Street
  • Kirkwood Station
  • Buffalo Brewing
  • Schlafly
  • Charleville
  • Goose Fulton
  • Goose Clybourn
  • Tallgrass

I’m also told that Scratch Brewing will be on-hand to sample out some test batches as they gear up to open their new brewery. Tickets will go on sale beginning this Wednesday, June 20th at Perennial. And as a special treat, the first 100 tickets will have access to a special after party featuring some exciting beers including 2nd Shift Katy, Green Flash Le Freak, and Goose Island Lolita.

We’ll have a full list of beers in the next few weeks as we ramp up to have a great STLCBW. This is looking to be the best week yet.
