Mailbag: Where Can You Find Tennants?
May 15, 2008 8:37 am Beer LoveWell, I can sort of answer this question:
I was wondering if you knew of anybody in the St. Louis area that carried Tennants? Lukas Liquors only has it in 1/2 barrel quantities and I haven’t found anybody else that has it. I figured that you are the man that would know where I can turn. Thanks for any info!
I know that the Scottish Arms carries this on draught but anyone else know where you can get it?

Tennents is part of InBev, which brings in Hoegaarden and Leffe. Grey Eagle (Anheuser Busch) distributes here in STL, and I have asked for Tennents for over 6 months and they cannot give me an answer on why they stopped getting it,(we used to sell a ton of it). Too big of a company to get answers. I also keep asking about Leffe Brown and 25oz bottles of Leffe — no answer, just blonde in 6pks.

You can always get it at Llywelans on tap if you can’t find it in bottles.

In regards to the original question, I spotted Tennent’s on the shelf today at Macklind Avenue Deli in Southwest St. Louis City. The owner informed me that Lohr Distributing is selling the 6-pack bottles in the city.
In response to Patrick’s question, since this is a St. Louis forum, I doubt anyone on here will be able to answer your question about who distributes it in San Diego(?). But if you own a pub in San Diego, I would think you would already know the answer to your question. A helpful tip, however, would be to ask the same distributor who sells other InBev brands in your area, eg. Beck’s, Stella Artois, Leffe, etc. Most likely, it is your A-B distributor.
