Now that the unseasonably warm weather has passed us by, it’s only fitting that  Kirkwood Station Brewing is putting on their first Winter Beer Dinner. This five course meal, which will take place on Wednesday, January 25th at 6:30PM, pairs five of Kirkwood Staton’s handcrafted beers with a meal designed by Chef Jack MacMurray III.

After working at restaurants such as Crazy Fish, Wild Horse Grill, and Sage, you know that Chef MacMurray will know how to expertly pair dishes with Brewmaster Dave Johnson’s beer. Here’s a look at the menu:

Blackberry Wheat
Shrimp rangoon, egg roll-style with blackberry chipotle sauce

Petite beef chimichanga – hopped Spanish rice, green chili refried beans, sauce tomatillo and enchilada

Scottish Ale
Smoked trout gaufrette lime orange sour cream

English Pale Ale
Jones Heritage Farms organic lamb shepherd’s pie

Oatmeal Stout
Stout ice cream float with oatmeal cookie

Reservations for this dinner, which will cost $45 per person, are required and can be made by calling (314) 966-2739. 5% of the sales from this event will go to Kirk Care Food Pantry.  A great meal and money going to a great cause.  Sounds like the makings of a great time.
