There happen to be a work happy hour here Friday (Olive location). From this list, I thought I would drink the Celebrator, but at $8.95 a bottle, I don't think so. So I had a 5 Day, Schlafly APA and a 471. Also, there is a growler price listed for all their draught choies, but ahs anyone ever seen anyone purchase one? I think not.

I hate Growlers. I cringe everytime I get stuck going there with a group. The south county location's primary goal is to appeal to wannabe hipsters who like to play dress up in faux expensive clothing, sit on the patio, and pretend like they're starring in an episode of "The Hills". Stella Artois is probably their cash cow at the moment. 5 years ago, probably Heineken, and 5 years from now it will be something wildly different... like Grolsch. If Yuengling ever makes it to St. Louis, it will be an instant wannabe hipster favorite. I would put money on that.

Growler's has no incentive or need to change when they're probably raking in money hand over fist.

It seems to me that the beer selection is just one symptom of generally poor management. The quality of service and food both fluctuate wildly in my experience.

And they don't even sell growlers to go.... not that I would want one from their crappy selection.
Seriously, someone needs to talk to them about their selection.

Wow, thanks for the honesty! I live right around the corner from that place and it's a real disappointment. Provisions is right across the street, I can get almost any beer I want there, so why bother with Growlers. It seems as though its turned into more of a sports bar and not a beer nut's place.
