Goat’s Breath Bock Ale Kick Off

8:30 am Brewery News, Restaurants

gbb.jpgDave from O’Fallon let’s me know they’re kicking off the re-release of Goat’s Breath with an event that almost sounds like it requires a Toga:

Join us this Thursday, January 10th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Rumple’s Pub (221 North Main Street in St. Charles) for the OFFICIAL kick-off of our re-introduction of Goat’s Breath Bock. Enjoy great beer and food, visit with the brewers and meet our mascot, “Cooter,” the goat! (For real!)

If you haven’t tried it, Goat’s Breath Bock is a malty clean beer that you almost wouldn’t expect is an ale. So not only do you get a chance to try it, but you get to hang with Cooter the Goat. Sounds like a hell of a time.

But do they have a Ram named Donker?

Incidentally, love O’Fallon as I do, this is the kind of thing that hurts all you high falootin’ Craft Beer snobs trying to make your case for equality amongst alcohols.

It’d be one thing if they named the goat Bob or Alice–but oh no, instead they named it cooter which is just another way of saying “Come meet our goat, Vagina.”

    Classy.

…oh, unless they’re just tremendously big Dukes of Hazzard fans, in which case I take it all back.

Dear Bill, Cooter the goat is a pet of some friends of the brewery. How or why they named him Cooter, I don’t know.

We just thought it would be a fun and unique bar promo vs. the usual promos executed by larger companies.

The promo went very well–Rumple’s was packed and everyone was having much fun! Hopefully, you were able to attend. In fact, the promotion went so well that Frank (the owner of Rumple’s) is running our Goat’s Breath bottles all this weekend for $2; so, drop on by this weekend if you can!

Thanks for the support of O’Fallon Brewery and I’ll buy you a beer if we ever meet in person!
