Edit: Just received word from Amalgamated about this event: “The Founders Beer Dinner at The Stable on 3/28 has been rescheduled for Monday, April 25 at 6:30 pm. We will be serving the identical menu as before. Those with reservations can keep them for the new date or cancel and receive a full refund. Those looking to attend and have yet to make reservations now have until Friday, April 22 to to do so.”
The Stable will be putting on a very special beer dinner on Monday, April 25th featuring five courses paired with beers from Founders Brewing. Normally any beer dinner featuring Founders would automatically be cool, but this beer dinner looks to be epic. You’ll quickly see below, but there are a couple of beers on the menu that haven’t been available in St. Louis in quite some time.
The dinner will begin at 6:30PM and the price for this event is $60 which does not included tax and gratuity. Reservations can be made by calling 314-771-8500. Here’s a look at the menu:
Beer reception featuring Cerise
Saffron Artichoke Flatbread, Chilled Shrimp Salad tossed with an IPA Vinaigrette served on an Endive Spea
Double Trouble (2011)
Roasted Beet Salad with Sweet Corn and Goat Cheese tossed in a Citrus Vinaigrette
Steamship Roast with a Bourbon Molasses glaze, Smoked Baked Potato (Bacon, Sour Cream, Butter, Green Onion, Candied Pecans, Cheddar, and other assorted toppings.), Roasted Glazed Carrots
Black Biscuit (2010)
Imperial Stout Ice Cream with Assorted toppings; Chocolate Covered Espresso Beans, Brazil Nuts, Dried Cherries soaked in Bourbon, Dried Apricots, Dehydrated Banana Chips, Beer whipped Cream, 85 Lashes Rum Butterscotch, Mexican Chocolate Sauce
Imperial Stout (2011)
It should be noted that all beers will be draught. The Stable has been sitting on Black Biscuit since last year. Very cool. This will certainly sell out, so don’t miss out.
