For those of you that may force your way through a single episode of StewedSTL, you’ll know that I’m a breakfast fanatic. Without a doubt, it’s my favorite meal of the day. So, the idea of a breakfast-themed beer dinner isn’t so much intriguing as it is downright intoxicating to think about.
Dressel’s Pub is not only putting on such a dinner, but they’re breaking out some big guns from Founders Brewing to boot. This beer dinner, which is a pre-St. Louis Craft Beer Week event, will be taking place on Wednesday, July 25th featuring five courses for $60.
Those five courses will include Founders Canadian Breakfast Stout and Kentucky Breakfast Stout. Two beers that pair perfectly with your first meal of the morning. Here’s a look at the menu:
Welcome Course: House made English muffins, country ham, fresh Spanish goat cheese, peach preserves

1st Course: Pan Seared Scrapple-soft poached farm egg, brown butter & sage holindaise
Pairing: Better Half
2nd Course: Coffee Crusted Seared Duck Breast -Pistacio blinis, fig jam, espresso gastrique
Pairing: Kentucky Breakfast Stout
3rd Course: Pork Duo-Sorgum brined loin, braised & smoked belly, sweet corn grits, grilled pickled baby leeks
Pairing: Canadian Breakfast Stout
4th Course: Pine Nut & Chocolate Crepes-Praline bacon & whiskey creme Anglaise
Pairing: Blushing Monk
