Do you know who’s a smart guy? The Civil Life Brewing‘s Dylan Mosley. Way back in 2011 he was asked if St. Louis could support another brewery and his response was brilliant:

“Seriously? It’s beer,” answered Dylan Mosley, the head brewer for the Civil Life Brewing Company in south St. Louis. “You know how many people drink beer? If I opened a hamburger joint, nobody’s going to be, like, ’Hey, you know how many hamburger joints there are?’ They’d be like, ’Sweet! Another hamburger joint!’ ”

With the announcement of the opening of the Flying Saucer Draught Emporium in downtown St. Louis I’ve heard a lot of people bandy about the question, “How many beer places can this town support?” When I think we should all be hearing, “Hey, another place to get awesome beer!”

And that’s exactly what the Flying Saucer is, another awesome place to get beer in St. Louis. And for us Cardinals fans, it’s another awesome place to get beer all while being one block from Busch Stadium.  Beginning at 5PM today, you’ll have your first opportunity to check out the Flying Saucer for yourself.

Here’s a look at their first menu, “The Fly Paper.”
