I don’t know if you remember, but there was a little hubbub over homebrew in St. Louis a couple of weeks ago. Something about money and friends and family? I dunno. Trying to keep up with the politics of beer can make your head spin. And if I want my head to spin, I’d rather just drink a few too many.
But, regardless of my ignorance, there was a lot of homebrewers left with a lot of homebrew that should have made it to the St. Louis Brewers Heritage festival. Not wanting that beer to go to waste and not wanting the homebrewers to show off their talents, Dan Kopman at Schlafly did the next best thing, throw a Homebrew Festival at the Schlafly Bottleworks.
Unfortunately, due to the archaic nature of the laws surrounding homebrew, this is not a public festival. You cannot buy tickets and you can’t just show up and attend. But, fortunately for the readers of STL Hops, you can win tickets to this festival. We’re all friends here, right?
I have six tickets to give away, so I’ll pick three winners to give a pair a tickets away to. Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject of Homebrew Fest, I’ll randomly pick three winners on Thursday, July 5th at 4PM. A couple of quick notes:
- If you’ve won something from STL Hops in the past 6 months, please be cool and let someone else enter.
- If you can’t attend, please don’t enter.
- You must be 21 or older to enter.
- No multiple entries.
Big thanks to Stewart Wolfe from Schlafly along with Troy Meier from the STL Hops Homebrew Club for donating the tickets to the event.
