Clarification: the Irish Stout being served at this festival is the nitrogenated Irish Stout we’ve served at the Tap Room since February ‘92 (ergo, the 19th year we’ve served it). A few years ago we introduced the Irish Extra Stout, an 8% beer in our Special Release series. We’ve begun to refer to the Tap Room Irish Stout as the Nitro Irish Stout, sorry for the confusion. Mike stated it correctly, but I sensed that some expected the beer we have in six-packs, and this one isn’t that beer.

In the long run, I think they are more worried about the casino, that is what covers the costs, multi selections at the bar is the marketing gimmick that differentiates this casino. But it is only for marketing, they are not in business to expand the palate of Bud Select drinkers, that’s what this blog does (but it is also preachin’ to the choir here too). If this was a bar only like i-Tap or Flying Saucer in Little Rock, sure it would be a big deal. It is an oversite to not have O’Fallon at least, but maybe they’ll adjust overtime with enough suggestions/requests. But for now the casino makes money or the whole kitten-ka-boodle shuts down. Be greatful there is a casino that has a decent beer selection, for now.
