In case you missed it, The Civil Life Brewing Company has chosen Missouri Beverage as their Missouri distributor. It’s been a long time coming, but you’ll soon be able to enjoy Civil Life beers at some of your favorite pubs around town.

To kick off this momentous occasion MOBev and Civil Life have planned a few exciting kick-off events around town. Here’s a rundown of everything you’ll be able to do this week:

Tuesday, February 28th – Bailey’s Range / Bridge Tap House – 5:30PM
The first event in this Civil Life extravaganza also marks the first of Dave Bailey’s new monthly dining events called Community Table. Each month Dave will have a charity dinner with all of the proceeds going to a local St. Louis charity. The cost of entry is $20 with all of the proceeds going to St. Louis Effort for AIDS. Your entry fee will get you unlimited access to this very impressive menu:

  • Smoked Wild Salmon Crustini with pink peppercorn goat cheese
  • Grand Marnier Glazed Smoked Duck Meatballs with red chiles
  • Salad of Roasted Beets, Pears, Candied Walnuts and Feta
  • Bacon Wrapped Asparagus with garlic lemon butter
  • Cumin Seed Roasted Cauliflower with a feta yogurt sauce
  • Potato Gratin with goat cheese and roasted garlic
  • Sweet Potato Croquettes with a golden raisin brandy sauce
  • Chicken Breast atop a mixture of wilted spinach, white beans, and shallots
  • Pork Scalopini Pomodoro topped with roasted tomato, caramelized onion, garlic, basil, pine nuts, and olives

You’ll also be able to purchase these five beers from The Civil Life:

  • Vienna Lager
  • Dunkel
  • American Brown
  • Black Lager
  • British Bitter

Civil Life owner Jake Hafner will be on-hand at both Range and Bridge (where they will have 3 exclusive Civil Life beers) to guest bartend.

Thursday, March 1st – 33 Wine Shop and Tasting Bar – 3PM
It’s very fitting that one of the first stops on the Civil Life party tour is the place where it all began for Civil Life owner Jake Hafner. If you didn’t know, Jake started 33 Wine Bar almost 11 years ago to the day, he sold the bar to Jeff Stetner back in 2009 so he could start a brewery. So it comes full circle that 33 will have a total tap takeover featuring nothing but Civil Life beers.

Jake, Dylan Mosley and Mike Bianca will be on-hand where it basically all started. As you can imagine, this will be a pretty amazing and emotional time for everyone. This is an event that shouldn’t be missed.

Sunday, March 4th – Amsterdam Tavern – 9:30AM
It should be surprising that some of Civil Life’s strongest supporters are those in their own backyard. Lyell from Amsterdamn Tavern is one of the biggest supports of Civil Life and wanted to kick off their beers in style by putting their beers on for the huge (at least I’m told this is huge) Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester United game.

Jake and the boys will be at Amsterdam cooking up some G&W brats and sausages to give away and to talk about the Civil Life beers.

Monday, March 5th – International Tap House Chesterfield – 7PM
As Jake put it, they’re “taking the show on the road” and visiting the fine folks in the county by making an appearance at iTAP in Chesterfield. This will be a fine opportunity for those county folks who haven’t had a chance to make it down to the brewery to try out some of Civil Life’s very fine beers.
