If there is anything I’ve learned during my short trip on this planet, it’s giving a one-year-old beer as a present is probably a bad idea. But what if a one-year-old gives you beer? Assuming you’re legal drinking age, that sounds like it would be permissible.

It’s The Civil Life Brewing Company‘s first birthday and they’re throwing three days of parties to celebrate. Things begin tomorrow night (Friday, September 28th) when at 7:50PM Civil Life debuts their new sign outside.  This doesn’t sound like a big deal, but you have to realize that this is the first permanent sign on a business for owner Jake Hafner.

Each year Civil Life will be making a change to their logo and you’ll be able to see the new logo on Saturday at 2PM after Jake’s “State of the Beer” speech. Sunday gives you an opportunity to bring the kids as they’re doing Family Day at Civil Life.

And to celebrate the momentous occasion CLB has brewed up an Alt beer which allows them to make the pun, “We’re one year Alt!” all weekend. For more information about the weekend, be sure to check out Civil Life’s blog.

Congrats to Jake, Mike, and Dylan on their first year in business.
