Looks like St. Louis has a new brewery opening in their midst. Cathedral Square Brewery will be opening soon in what used to be the old Playboy Club at 3914 Lindell Blvd. That location may be familiar to some of our reader as the location of the old City Grille and Brewhouse.
Cathedral Square Brewery has brought on Brian Neville as their brewmaster. Brian is currently also the brewmaster of Spanish Peaks Brewery, and he’s planning on concentrating on Belgian styles with the new Cathedral Square Brewery. His first offering, a Belgian Abbey Ale will be available for its first public tasting this Friday, March 13th at Riddle’s Penultimate in the U-City Loop starting at 7PM.
If you can’t make it out to this event, fear not, because according to Sauce Magazine, you’ll soon be seeing Cathedral Square’s beer at some of the usual suspects around the area. I’m hoping to have some photos and more information about this new venture real soon. Stay tuned.
