Brew Not From the Lou
January 3, 2008 12:51 pm Beer LoveMy girlfriend Irene is taking a trip out to rainy Southern California to visit some family this weekend. Being the wonderful beer nerd girlfriend she is, she’s going to try and pick up some beers for me and bring them home. I made her a little list, I hope she pulls through.
- Lost Abbey Gift of the Magi
- Lost Abbey Devotion
- Alesmith Yulesmith
- Stone Double Bastard Ale
- Stone Ruination Double IPA
- Alaskan Smoked Porter 2007
- Lost Abbey Judgment Day
- Ballast Point Seamonster Stout
You ever notice how much I love bullet points?

Recently had both Gift of the Magi and Yulesmith for the first time. Both awesome. Now to open that Speedway Stout soon….
I’d recommend asking for a Green Flash IPA too. Very hoppy.

Yeah, I need to mention to her to pick up some RR if she can find it. But I think I could only find Damnation the last time I was out there. I have a bottle of it downstairs waiting for me.

Alesmith is legendary, get some of their stuff if possible. Pizza Port brews some outstanding IPAs and Saisons, as well.
Of course, Russian River is about as good as it gets.
