As some of you are wine drinkers, you may know that the first Wednesday of every month at Monarch Restaurantis a little event they call Wine Down Wednesday. Chef Josh Galliano puts together a series of dishes to pair with a few wines picked by their Wine Director, Tim Anselm.
Never ones to stick with the status quo, Monarch has decided to give beer its due and put on their first Beer Down Wednesday on Wednesday, October 5th beginning at 7PM. The event will cost you $45 per person and you’ll be treated to three different courses paired with three different beers.
Steamed mussels with tomatoes and chiles – La Chouffe
Sweet potato crusted catfish with braised red cabbage – Avery The Kaiser
Shredded lamb shank, onion sauerkraut, rye crumbs, 1000 island jus – Six Row Centennial Rye
