About STL Hops
STL Hops is the premiere beer information site for St. Louis.

What you’ll find here:
- Information regarding new breweries, beers and restaurants in the St. Louis metro area.
- Seasonal and new released beer information. If I see it on the shelf, you’ll be the first to know.
- Beer musings and news.
- Homebrew information and events.
What you won’t find here:
- Overwrought beer reviews.
I’m going to keep beer reviews to a minimum because frankly it’s your job to go and try the beer. But when they do come up I’m not about to deliver what looks to be some Harlequin love story devoted to a Belgian Dark Strong. What I’m going to do is point you in the direction of places I think have some of the best beer that St. Louis has to offer.
It’s also important to remember that STL Hops is run for free. I don’t work for any specific company or retailer, I’m just a guy who runs a blog. If someone sends me information I give them credit no matter if it’s a retailer, brewery or a random individual.
The one thing that I truly hope you find here is passion and I hope you find it infectious. My wish is that you take the opportunity to try a new beer style you haven’t tried before or to learn more about the art of brewing and I hope I’m the person that gets you to do those things.

My name is Lance A. Moore, I am the director of sales for Pairs Plus

your new product features in your magazine. Traditionally, our

I’ve been driving past a new microbrewery (Robin’s Beak Brewery in Swansea, IL) for quite some time now… with anticipation of their opening. Well this past weekend, a new banner appeared about their pre-opening Oktoberfest. The banner states the event is happening “Oct 13-15th 4-10pm”, as well as Oct 19-21st (same times). This place is located on Rt 161, just past the rt 159 intersection. From peering through the window, it looks pretty nice so far.
As for local beer stores: besides Corral, the Randalls in Fairview Hts has a nice selection of microbrews (more than the StL location). O’Fallon Liquors (IL) also has a really good beer selection.
Just thought I’d fill you in on beer happenings over here on the east side.

I check out your site almost everyday to check out what is going on beer-wise around town. Keep up the nice work.
Have you considered adding a forum to your site?

Sorr, I was wrong on the dates for Robin’s Beak’s pre-opening… It goes from today 10/11 through 10/13, then the same thing next week 10/18-10/20

Hi Mike,
KC Star Food Section today had a front page article about alternative chocolate valentine’s day gifts. One of the main featured items was O’Fallon’s chocolate cherry ale. Two great pictures of the bottle, etc.
We really appreciate and enjoy what you are contributing to the beer scene, from all aspects, in St. Louis.
It was great when you went to Drew’s house in the fall for the homebrew session.
Keep up the great work. I usually check your blog daily.
PS tried to send Drew the article or at least a link from http://www.kansascity.com, but it is a worthless site-no mention of the Food Section.
