MBSTL_113267_FoundersCrewDrive_IntlTapHouse (1)This coming Monday February 16, the Soulard location of the International Tap House is hosting the crew from Founders Brewing Company. There will be 20 members from the Founders sales staff from the lower 48 states in town for this party and you’ll be able to enjoy a selection of drafts including:

  • Red’s Rye
  • Porter
  • All Day IPA
  • Breakfast Stout
  • Nitro Oatmeal Stout

But here’s what makes this a truly unique event. All of the members of the Founders’ team will be bringing a bottle from their personal cellar to open that night with the crowd. You never know what they’ll have up their sleeves. You are also invited to bring a bottle if you’d like to share with the crowd.

This party starts at 8PM and goes “until the beer runs out.” So head over to Soulard Monday night for this great opportunity. See you there!

logoTrust me when I tell you I’ve discovered how important exercise and flexibility is as we get older this week.  Which makes tomorrow’s event at Moulin Events (home of Vin de Set, PW Pizza and 21st Street Brewer’s Bar) all that more important when they host Yoga Buzz for a night of “of bending, brews, and beautiful chocolates”.

Beginning at 6PM, Yoga Buzz co-founder Elle Potter will lead an all-levels yoga class for the first hour on the second floor of Moulin. After you’ve stretched and sweated you’ll then be lead downstairs where Moulin’s executive chef has created some special beer and desert pairings.

Here’s a look at the pairings:

  • Excel IPA + White Chocolate Bark with Lime and Coconut
  • Schlafly Scotch Ale + Honey Almond Brittle
  • 4 Hands Cast Iron Brown + Blondie made with Pale Ale spent grains, roasted apples and sharp cheddar

Tickets for this event are $25 each or $40 per couple (it is Valentine’s weekend after all) and can be purchase online. Get active and enjoy some beer as well.

bynk about itWhile it’s fun to be on the hunt to try and find that special or fun beer, it can be pretty tiring. Well, you can stop running all around town and visit Llywelyn’s Pub in Webster Groves and St. Charles to see something cool on tap. Llywelyn’s is continuing their program that they’ve been calling “A Brew You Never Knew.”

Each Wednesday, Llywelyn’s will feature a single beer on draught that may have been overlooked or in some cases is the only draught version of that beer in town. It’ll be a chance to re-visit an old favorite or even discover something you’ve never had before.

This week Llyweyln’s in Webster will be featuring Broadway Brewery Double Rye IPA. While the St. Charles location will also be serving up the Crown Valley Gun Slinger IPA on draft. So, if you’re looking for something special without all of the lists and missed opportunities, make sure to stop into Llywelyn’s in St. Charles or Webster tonight!

150197 3 Kings LITW 11x17 WEBTick, tick, tick. This isn’t a bomb, this is how some beer guys view drinking beers. No judgement here, I love being able to tick a new beer off of my list.

Three Kings Public House on Delmar is offering up a tickers dream by partnering with New Belgium Brewing to put on a special event they’re calling Lost in the Woods.

Running from 5PM-10PM tomorrow, February 7th, Three Kings will be offering up four vintage sour beers along with two 2015 sour beers. Here’s the list:

  • 2013 Belgian Salted Chocolate Stout
  • 2014 Le Terroir
  • 2014 Yuzu Imperial Berliner Wiess
  • 2015 La Folie
  • 2015 Transatlantique Kriek ( our newest version in collaboration with Oud Beersel)
  • 2013 Cherry Felix (Felix the base beer for Le Terroir aged in Cherry Whiskey BBls from Leapold Brothers)

And because tickers love tastes, Three Kings will be offering up a flight of five 5oz beers for $18. If you want to enjoy a full pour, you can purchase 10oz for $5 (or $6 for the Cherry Felix.)

If you’re looking for a little sweetness to balance with the sour, there will be cupcakes available made by Lil Bitty Sweets to pair specifically with the beers. Each cupcake will run you $2.
