cabinfeverart.gifI may sound like a broken record, but Schlafly Cabin Fever beer festival is easily one of my favorite festivals in St. Louis. It combines two of my favorite things: beer and weather.

Whenever a beer festival approaches, I’m continuously checking the weather to see what it’s going to be like during the festival. This is a festival where weather is a defining portion of the event.  We’ve had years with snow on the ground and years where people have wore shorts.

While most people probably enjoy it warmer, I think this festival is at its best when beer is beginning to freeze on the tables. Unfortunately for those of us who like it that way, this year is shaping up to be a balmy 54°.  Weather aside, it’s still going to be a great time.

This year’s event will take place this Saturday, January 12th from 12:00-4:00 p.m. Tickets will run you $25 in advance or $30 day of. Tickets are on sale now and you can purchase tickets here. Here’s a look at the beer list (which, as always, is subject to change):
