If you’re anything like me, you already had plans tonight and you’re not going to be able to make it to the Founders Beer Dinner at The Stable.  (But, hopefully you’re nothing like me and can attend, a few seats still available.)

But maybe, like me, your event is late or early in the evening and you can still squeak out a trip to The Stable.  What if I told you that beginning at 7PM tonight, all of the Founders beers that they’re putting on for their beer dinner will be available for purchase by the glass? Now that I have your attention, here’s the 9 Founders beers that’ll be on tap tonight:

  • Founders Double Trouble
  • Founders Cerise
  • Founders Nemesis
  • Founders Black Biscuit
  • Founders Imperial Stout
  • Founders Curmudgeon
  • Founders Reds Rye
  • Founders Centennial
  • Founders Backwoods Bastard

Some of these beers are absolutely limited and will not last long. This may be your last chance to try some of these beers in St. Louis for quite some time.

Wow. Yesterday was pretty insane. I’ve gotten word back from everyone who attend events around the area and huge props to all of the venues for putting on some great events. But the fun didn’t stop yesterday, today and tomorrow provides us with some more great events. Check them out:

So, it was a little cold and a little windy, but that didn’t keep the diehards from coming out and enjoying some awesome beers from Schlafly, Alaskan Brewing Company and Midnight Sun Brewing Company.  In fact, it was completely awesome to see so many familiar faces including some folks from the Hoosier Beer Geek.

If you weren’t able to attend, here’s a little taste of what you missed:

Surprise!  No, really, it’s a surprise.  Tomorrow night, beginning at 6PM, the Handlebar will be tapping a cask of beer from Tallgrass Brewing Company.

Here’s the catch, not even folks at Handlebar know what the beer is going to be.

As far as I can tell, this is the first cask from Tallgrass to ever come to St. Louis.  In fact, I’ve been told this is the first time this beer has even come to Missouri.  This is certainly a treat for those of you who love cask beer.

And for you trivia nerds, it’s also worth noting that the Handlebar will be hosting Tenacious Trivia that night beginning at 8PM.  The trivia nights at Handlebar are always a great time with interesting and challenging questions.

This may be your only chance to try this beer and with it being on cask, this is a must-attend event.

ciceros.jpg Cicero’s Italian Restaurant continues their Winter Beer School semester this Wednesday from 5:30-6:30PM. Cicero’s Beer School provides background about beers and beer styles usually directly from people directly in the beer industry. It’s perfect opportunity to learn more about a style you’re unfamiliar with or to just brush up on a style you haven’t enjoyed in a while.

This week’s school will be hosted by Daryl Copeland who will be on hand to discuss and sample four different beers from Rogue Ales. You’ll have your chance to try some Yellow Snow, Orgasmic Ale, Hazelnut, and Brutal Bitter. Go out and take advantage of one of the few places where you can drink and learn!

If you can’t make it out to the Beer School, you can check out all of the classes via podcast at Cicerosbeerschool.com.
