I’ve often said, it takes a real German to put on an authentic Oktoberfest. OK, I don’t I’ve ever said that, but I say a lot of things when I’ve had a few beers that I rarely remember, so it may still be something I’ve said.

But it’s got to be true, right? I mean, when the Urban Chestnut Brewing Company‘s brewmaster Florian Kuplent is straight out of Munich, the home of the original Oktoberfest, so he probably has the skills to put on an authentic festival.

Well, this Saturday and Sunday will be your chance to find out if UCBC has what it takes to put on an authentic style Oktoberfest here in your own back yard. Here are the details for this weekend’s event:

Saturday, 1pm-11pm

German Bier
Buy the Stein $5 day of or $4 prior to festival
$8 Stein fills (one liter) or 20oz plastic cup fills for $6

No tickets are required for this event, you just need to show up and have a grand ol’ time. This may not be the biggest Oktoberfest in town, but it certainly has the making to be the most authentic!
