picture-017.jpgTonight, Tuesday, March 31, from 4p.m. to 7p.m, the Creve Coeur location of Granite City Food and Brewing will be hosting one of the founders of Granite City Food and Brewing, Steve Wagenheim.  This is a good opporunity to ask some questions of Steve and their facinating brewing process.

Also be sure to check out my interview with GCFB’s brewmaster Larry Chase from last year.

As there was a discussion in the Forums about Maibocks, I thought some of you might like to know that The Stable will be hosting Boulevard Brewing’s Maibock kickoff party on Thursday, March 26th from 7PM-9PM.

Not only will you get a chance to taste this Spring seasonal but you’ll also get to meet Boulevard’s Field Quality Manager Neil Witte.  The Stable’s Jerad Gardner also let me know that he’ll be offering pints of the Maibock for $2.50 during the Meet and Greet.

This Monday, March 16th from 7-9PM, the International Tap House and Missouri Beverage will be hosting a meet and greet with with Jeremy Cowan, owner of Shmaltz Brewing Company.  You may be more familiar with Shmaltz’ beers that go under the name He’Brew, which includes He’Brew Genesis Ale and STL Hops favorite, Bittersweet Lennys RIPA.

This is a great opportunity to meet with Jeremy Cowan as well as sample some Sword Swallower on draught along with other He’Brewand Coney Island beers as well.

piIf you love New Belgium Brewery and Bingo and Pizza and Drag Queens, well, have I got the event for you!  This Sunday (March 15th), and every Sunday thereafter, Pi Restaurant will be hosting Drag Queen Bingo starting at 9PM.

Since New Belgium is sponsoring the event, you’ll receive all New Belgium draught beers for $3 each!  If the idea of playing Bingo on a Sunday night with your isn’t enough incentive to get your non-craft beer drinking buddies to go, they’ll also be offering $1 PBR Draft and $4 PBR Pitchers.

This sounds like a hell of a time, I’m hoping to drag my lazy ass out on a Sunday night to participate.
