Fish and chips, fresh cod and Real Ale? Where do I sign up? Well, luckily no sign up is required to attend Schlafly‘s 2009 Cod and Cask Festival on Friday February 6th (5PM to Midnight) and Saturday February 7th (5PM to Midnight). Schlafly brings in the freshest cod as well as bringing in Icelandic Chef Hakon Orvarsson to help serve up all of this fish!
If that wasn’t enough, what goes better with Fish and Chips but cask-conditioned ale? These beers are carbonated in the cask and hand pumped up to the bar at “cellar temperature” to provide the most authentic experience this side of the pond.
Schlafly brewer Brennan Greene assures me that he’s is doing his best this year to make sure cask beer is available all weekend, but just to be certain I would show up as early as you can on Friday to make sure you get to enjoy the best of both worlds.
