RE: Stable's beer list.

I finally made it out to The Stable for the first time last week (Friday) and ended up going back the following night! Shakespeare Stout on tap? This is my new favorite place. Next stop is Rotten Apple for some Dogfish Head...are we getting spoiled around here or what?

thanks for posting my site on yours. It is always humbling and gratifying to be mentioned by others. By the way, I've traveled through St. Luey a million times on my way to Springfield. I do miss some of the beer there. Thanks once again...I've had multiple hits from your site.

Yeah, and Morgan Street is a block from the Laclede's Landing Metro Link stop.

For those of you who don't know, in the state of Missouri, a brewer can either have a retail license (brewpub) or wholesale license (distributor) in addition to their manufacturer's license. O'Fallon chooses to have a wholesaler's license. Plus, they are located in O'Fallon, Missouri; hence, the name "O'Fallon Brewery" (located about 40 miles west of Downtown). What kind of sense would it make for the O'Fallon Brewery to be located in Downtown St. Louis? I suppose they could always re-locate to the O'Fallon Park neighborhood in North St. Louis, though, if they wanted to! Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk!

Hey O'Fallon,
There really isn't a brew-pub here for those who get off work, walk to downtown "Saint Louis City", and then wander to a Metrolink station to go home. Schlafly is difficult to use Metro to visit. I remember in Chicago how the bars near "The L" and Metra stops were packed after 5pm for Happy-Hour but the bars not near mass transit were only full on weekends.

Take a tip: A brew-pub near a Metro station would do very well!! ;)

The funny thing that the author of the O'Fallon letter may not realize is that O'Fallon already has opened up a brewpub Downtown...It's called Buffalo Brewing Company!!! :) (Just kidding, everyone)
