Just wanted to drop a line and say how accommodating everyone is at The Rotten Apple. I recently went there for the first time this Friday with a few friends in hopes of having some 90 minute on draught. We were sadly informed when we hit the door that they had it but it was yet to be tapped until they had an open line. To our surprise Jerad said he would see what he could do and we were treated with draught 90 minute IPA for the rest of the night (which tastes quite different than the bottle). To anyone who hasn’t been here yet I highly recommend it!

the rotten apple is perfect. i agree that 90min is WAY better on draught vs. bottle. hops are more defined, alcohol is more hidden.
i need to plan a trip back out to the apple (and with my growler!)

Don’t forget your ice bucket!

LOL
it’s just over an hour drive, like 75 minutes or so. can a growler last that long warming up? is there any negatives to this? i figure, keep it cool and it’ll stay fresh. i am a total growler noob.

Do they do growler fills at the Stable too?
Derek Bean :

Missouri law only allows growler sales at the place of origin of manufacture, eg. a brewpub. This is why you won’t see any growler fills at places like Whole Foods, Wine & Cheese Place or Growlers Pubs.

Does anyone know more about that New Belgium - Le Fleur Masseur at Dressel’s? I’d never heard of that one.
Mike :
Date: October 7, 2008 @ 5:42 pm
It’s a Belgian style Pale Ale with a touch of Brettanomyces. I thought it was ok, not that it was bad or anything, just not my favorite Brett beer.

Le Fleur Missuer - had it at Cicero’s a while back, but it wasn’t something I would ever drink again. It was sour and bland.
