got 1 each of the DeMolen’s. 60 bucks on three bottles of beer! I thought I was nuts when I spent that on the 6 I ordered from South Bay. My wife is gonna kill me if she finds out.

Another shout out to try Bear Republic, which has been on stock at Corral Liq for years. I’ve met the brewer (in Calif.), drank the beers. You’re giving money to a good man for good beer.

The DeMolen Porter and SSS stout were re-created from the brewing logs of Whitbread from 1914 before WWI. Very cool stuff.

Regarding the story about the street value of stolen kegs, this is exactly why the state of Missouri implemented a law a couple of years ago mandating a $50 keg deposit for all kegs purchased at off-premise accounts.

Sometimes it’s good to live in the shadow of a King.

I read somewhere that the average keg can be used a few thousand times before it needs new fittings. Just considering how much money you can make with one keg (either as a brewer, wholesaler, or retailer), it’s more than just a short term loss.

Does anyone reading this know how one can get a hold of any Gösser? They made my favorite beers when I lived in Austria.

Later, I noticed that osters for Gösser can be seen on the walls throughout the film –The Third Man–.

Gosser used to be available in Illinois several years ago, but I don’t know if it still is. I do know that it is not available in Missouri, though. Maybe one of the Illinois retailers on here can let us know if Gosser is still available in Illinois, and what varieties they have.

Gosser is available in Illinois - at least the last time I was in Chicago. The in-laws had it in the fridge pending a visit from my wife’s aunt who lives in Austria.

Gosser used to be available in St. Louis a few years back both the “regular” and dark. It is currently not distributed here though.

I think it is world-class but do recognized Bierkenner tend to agree?
