a Canadian friend told me I should try Alexander Keith’s India Pale Ale. any clue where to find some around here?

(and the Left Hand Milk Stout is quite a lovely thing.)

What time were you there, Cubby? I was in picking up a half barrel of Prima Pils today.

I went to Mattingly’s yesterday, AND I went with the stlhops group, and I totally disagree with the reviewer on here who feels that their food is merely avg. It is fantastic, especially for the reasonable prices that they have. I got the shish kebobs (delicious!) and a pizza that had bacon, sausage, and pepperoni. Paired them with a Delirium Tremens and a Left Hand Saw Tooth Ale. The Saw Tooth Ale worked particularly well with the pizza. Mmmmm…I’ll be back. And, when I went, the whole restaurant, including the bar area, was full. Obviously, most do not agree that the food and ambiance there are merely “average.” All that I’m saying is : Go see for your self! At least once. Otherwise, you’ll be missing out….

I was there around 2ish? There wasn’t anyone else there at the time.

The good news is, my keg of Boulevard just died last night, so next up is a keg of Founders Centennial, assuming it’s still available. What sux is, that Bon Vivant is closed today and tomorrow, so I can’t order till Tuesday :(

Ah well. I was in around 11, and there were several other folks in the store that I didn’t recognize (including one sad gentleman on a quest for some Miller Chill). My kegs almost always seem to die on a weekend too.

looking for Miller Chill in Bon Vivant…. That’s like looking for aluminum foil in a gold mine. Or going to Citizen Kanes and asking for Cubed Steak.

Andrew said that since the convenience store across the road went out of business he’s gotten quite a few unusual requests. I love the AL foil in a gold mine analogy!
