I tried the Left Hand Juju Ginger last night at their St. Louis kick-off at Cicero's and thought it was a very refreshing beer. I have seen it on the shelf the past couple of weeks at some of our finer shops and my prejudice thought it sounded awful. But, I'm glad I got to taste it last night. I could definitely see this being a good summertime beer, what with our 90+ degree heat and 80+% humidity.

Mike, never, EVER try the Juju Ginger. It's unimaginably awful.

Yeah, the RFT's Drink of the Week has been pretty silly since McClanahan took over. Her writings are always more about the particular drinking experience than the drink itself. Like little journal entries that tell you more about the writer than the featured subject matter. Lots of reviewers out there employ this schtick. Once she wrote about Snapple from a gas station. I'm sure the bean counters at the RFT's parent company are very pleased.

1. I'm no snob (a little). I'll try the AB ale.
2. I have no idea what the writer is talking about when it comes to Springboard.
