The Mattingly Brewing Company may now be producing full scale productions of beer, but that doesn’t stop them from showing off what’s yet to come. Tonight, Head Brewer Drew Huerter and Assistant Brewer Jerid Saffell will be offering their Bright Nights Wheatwine.
Here’s Jerid with a little information about the beer:
Bright Nights Wheatwine features 2 malts, American wheat and German Vienna. They combine to create a big malty backdrop for the 50 ibu’s of hop bitterness. There will be 2 kegs of this served at the same time. One keg has been dry hopped with Summit and Ahtanum hops while the other is served with no dry hops. The beers are amazingly different and it’s a good way to see just how dramatically dry hopping changes a beer. 8% a.b.v, served in snifters.
Here’s a look at what to expect next week:
3/10 – Elderberry Irish Ale
Be sure to head out tonight and taste some of Drew and Jerid’s excellent beer.
