The Mattingly Brewing Company may now be producing full scale productions of beer, but that doesn’t stop them from showing off what’s yet to come. Tonight, Head Brewer Drew Huerter and Assistant Brewer Jerid Saffell will be offering the Old 41 Stock Ale. Here’s Jerid’s description of the beer:
Old 41 Stock Ale – Local homebrewer Scott Walters artfully crafted this delicious beer. Not quite a barleywine, not quite a IIPA, but taking great aspects from each style. Four malts, American Pale, American Wheat, Crystal 60, and Special B make a bold medium bodied background for the 90 IBU’s worth of hops from Chinook, Amarillo, and Simcoe. Slightly aged like a good barleywine but then dry hopped with more Simcoe right before kegging. 8% ABV, 90 I.B.U.
Here’s a look at what to expect over the next few weeks:
1/6 – Old 41 Stock Ale
1/13 – Afterburner Chipotle Smoked Imperial Brown Ale
1/20 – Old Harbinger American Barleywine
1/27 – Oak Aged Old Harbinger
2/3 – Maple Imperial Stout
Be sure to head out tonight and taste some of Drew and Jerid’s excellent beer.
